Welcome to Olympic View Elementary
We are the home of the Eagles and serve preschool through 5th grade in Lacey, WA. We are a diverse, inspiring, and compassionate school community, building a strong foundation to prepare all students to become lifelong learners and successful citizens.
At Olympic View, we practice the Eagle Way: Respect–We treat others the way we want to be treated; Responsibility–We listen, we follow directions, and do what is expected; Safety–We use walking feet, kind hands, and quiet voices; Cooperation–We take turns, work as a team, and treat others with respect.

Goals & School Improvement Plan
Academic Gap Goal
Increase the percentage of low-income students identified as low risk in passage reading fluency from 22% in the spring of first grade to 45% in the spring of second grade (spring 2026).
Behavior or Social-Emotional Learning Gap Goal
Increase low-income students with regular attendance from 36% in the 2024-25 school year to 50% by quarter 3 of the 2025-26 school year.

Olympic View values the strong support of our families, alumni, and community. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring, tutoring, participating in events and field trips, helping in the classroom, and more.
Building History
Olympic View Elementary was built in 1969 on 9.8 acres. It is located at 1330 Horne Avenue NE in Lacey. The 40,933 square foot building includes 26 instructional spaces, plus 15 portable classrooms.
- In 1998, a modernization was completed, utilizing bond and state funds.
- In 2010, Olympic View received a renovation and addition to the covered play area.
